Thomas E. Lombardi
Thomas E. Lombardi is a founding partner of Palmer, Lombardi & Donohue LLP. Mr. Lombardi leads the firm’s real estate practice, with an emphasis on litigation of commercial real estate disputes. The firm represents REITs, regional and local real estate companies, and individual real estate entrepreneurs. Under Mr. Lombardi’s guidance, the firm capably and effectively handles a broad array of real estate litigation matters. These include claims relating to specific performance, breach of purchase and sale agreements, options, first right of refusals, commercial leases, partnership/corporate real estate disputes, quiet title and other land disputes. Mr. Lombardi’s practice is also dedicated to the tenacious defense of property owners and landlords faced with a multitude of risks that might result in significant liability or catastrophic losses. These include litigation and trial of claims ranging from wrongful eviction, discrimination, rent control, and landlord-tenant tort claims up to and including “mass” actions and class/representative actions.
Mr. Lombardi has implemented a “full service” real estate litigation practice that can effectively deliver services for any variety of real estate dispute. Whether a client is experiencing a core real estate problem or an exceptionally unique circumstance, the firm has experience litigating nearly all facets of real estate disputes and in any venue. Mr. Lombardi has tried real estate matters in the Superior Courts of California and the Federal District Court , Central District of California. He has handled appeals before the United States 9th Circuit Court of Appeal and the California Court of Appeal, Second District. Mr. Lombardi also has experience litigating a wide variety of commercial and business disputes in these venues.
Mr. Lombardi is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara (B.A.). and Whittier Law School (J.D.). Mr. Lombardi is affiliated with the Institute of Real Estate Management , Los Angeles Chapter. He also is an active member of the California State Bar Real Property Section as well as the Los Angeles County Bar Association Real Property Section.
